Throughout my life I have been a little intrigued with motorcycles.
Early 2003, I purchased my first motorcycle, a Suzuki SV650S. After taking the MSF class and many tumbles learning to ride this bike, my love for street riding began. Almost every weekend I went for rides and put nearly ten thousand street miles on my SV650S that year.
One weekend, months later, I was watching motorcycle racing on television. I found a new passion; track riding.
My first track day was in October 2003.
The next year, I was hooked on track days and couldn't get enough.
In 2005, an interest in racing was born. I took a road racing course to obtain my racing license; however, I was too timid to race. Midway through that year, I booked my first race weekend and could not resist the temptation to race again.
Several race weekends later, I placed Fourth in Light Weight Super Sport. With hopes of placing higher in my next race that day and not using my head so much, I crashed in the first lap and broke both of my legs and a foot. My year was over.
My breaks took the rest of that year and a few months of 2006 to heal. In April of 2006, I received my doctors' approval to get on my bike again. However, not as fast I was, I started racing again. To complete a race without bailing out from fear was my only goal for 2006. That year my only mishaps were two incidences of running off the track with no injuries.

In 2007, Lizzy Leather was born and has since grown steadily. (During my 4 years of riding, I put my name on my suit, friends' suits and also repairs on their leathers. With a career background in tailoring and dressmaking, Lizzy Leather was a perfect choice for a new business.)
Also, in 2007, I sold my 2002 SV650 race bike and switched to a 2005 Kawasaki ZX6R 636. I did not compete in any races; but, I did end the season absolutely crash free and much knowledge gained!
I really have enjoyed working on all the cool logos, lettering, and of course all the interesting crash repairs this year.
